Turn the taste of lemons to lemon-ade! The Miracle fruit (Synsepalum dulcificum) produces berries that, when swished around in the mouth and eaten, cause sour foods, consumed there after, to taste sweet. Although this West African native has been around for hundreds of years or longer, it is gaining wide interest with chemotherapy patients, dieters and diebetics.

 

The small tee is very slow growing. It prefers partial shade, very acidic soil and does well when grown in a container. Air-layered trees produce fruit the first year.
