The Queen`s Wreath, native to tropical America, is a gorgeous fast growing vine that produces foot-long showpieces of color and lacy texture. When in full bloom, the large sprays of lilac-blue and violet star shaped flowers look almost like hundreds of small orchids. This beauty flowers March - April. The vine develops a strong enough trunk so that it can be shaped as a small topiary tree. The Petrea vine can be container grown or can be planted in the ground in zone 9 or higher. A 6-6-6 fertilizer is recommended in summer. 2-10-10 is recommended in spring for bloom encouragement. |
